November 4-6, 2003--Renaissance Asheville Hotel, Asheville, NC

Meeting the Challenges of a Changing Region--The Southern Appalachian region faces a host of interrelated issues, from air quality to invasive species to planning for growth. The SAMAB Fall Conference brings together professionals and concerned citizens from across the region in a forum that facilitates the learning, networking, and brainstorming needed to address these issues. The conference features workshops, presentations, posters, and field trips about the most pressing issues in our region, and agency and community actions that address these challenges.

Announcement and Call for Participants

Participate in the SAMAB Fall Conference, November 4-6, 2003 at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina. Send an abstract (see a sample) of the short talk, panel discussion, workshop, film/video, poster, or other presentation you would like to present. We encourage you to address one of the following subthemes:

Include with your abstract the subtheme and type of presentation you propose. Also submit your name, title, address, organization name (if appropriate), phone number, fax number, email address and audiovisual or space requirements. Submission should be made by September 5, 2003. Notification of acceptance will occur by mid-September.
